THE BEAUTY OF TREES
Trees are beautiful ornaments of nature
They are just as beautiful as a glacier!
The summer breeze makes their branches sway and dance
And snow-covered branches require more than just a glance.
Trees shade our homes, parks and streets
You can find a shady place to sit during a spell of heat
It's where some wildlife finds a moment’s rest
And also a place where birds build their nests.
We cut down trees to build homes and for fire
But excessive logging is extremely dire
Trees prevent soil erosion and clean the air
And excessive pollution can strip them bare.
Trees provide food and sweet things like maple syrup
So the next time you pass a tree, don’t forget to look up
Because some are so tall, they almost reach the sky
Aren’t trees just amazing? My, oh my, oh my!
