Eric’s Morning Smoothie

On many days we start off with our son’s (Eric) smoothie recipe. It’s  a great way to begin the day and it keeps us full until lunch. Eric’s Morning smoothie is packed with vitamins and antioxidants. We buy, wash, cut up the fruit and freeze them in zip lock bags so when we need a smoothie, we just pop it in the Vitamix Blender with some kefir or whatever other liquid we feel like having and within seconds Eric’s Morning Smoothie is ready. You can also freeze spinach and kale leaves, as well.

 

Eric’s Smoothie

Ingredients

1 cup kefir

1-1/2 tablespoons organic chia seeds or flax seeds

big handful of kale or spinach

½ cup blueberries

½ medium banana 

1 kiwi 

1 apple

Instructions

Put all of the ingredients into a Vita Mix or any blender and blend until you get a smooth smoothie!
